Justin Falkner

Biography

Justin Falkner joined the SBT team in June 2019 as an intern and as a part-time team member in September 2019. He earned his degree, Bachelor of Science: Computer Information Systems, in May 2021, and has continued gathering knowledge across hundreds of clients.

Justin is experienced with a wide array of network hardware, with Switching and Wi-Fi from: Cisco, Arista, HPE/Aruba, Extreme, Netgear, Ubiquiti/Unifi, AdTran & more.

In addition, he is highly experienced with Sophos and Fortinet firewalls, while being skilled with Cisco ASA, Sonicwall & PFsense/OPNsense firewalls.

For server & computer systems, he’s is skilled with Hyper-V & VMware, with a lifetime of experience in Windows.

He first discovered his passion for computers when he realized that video game consoles were, in fact, computers too. While learning the basics from an IT class during high school, he was learning about server hosting and IP addressing at home.

After exploring various technical classes at the University of Akron, Justin found a passion for networking. Following his high school graduation, he utilized various academic scholarships to obtain his bachelor’s degree at The University of Akron.

Justin enjoys assisting clients make innovative changes to their environment by implementing modern information systems. These systems allow our clients to better serve their clients, their community & by extension the broader world. In particular, he gleans considerable satisfaction from witnessing client systems work better while becoming easier to manage.

Outside of work, Justin has fun acting as a handyman: performing carpentry, plumbing, automotive & electrical tasks.
