Nick Colby

Biography

Nick joined the Small Business Technologies, Inc. (SBT) team in April 2020. He received his Associates in Information Systems from Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne. He is currently his B.S. in Network Engineering and Security at Western Governors University(WGU). His current role at SBT focuses on supporting clients in several areas, specifically clients in Western Ohio and Indiana by being located in New Haven, IN.

Nick has a lot of experience to bring to his position at SBT. He has served five years in the United States Marine Corps as a Network Server Administrator. He was deployed twice, once to Spain and once to several countries in the Mediterranean. He also worked two years supporting several thousand IT assets in the medical environment, including many hospitals and doctors’ offices in the Fort Wayne area.

A positive outlook on learning has been instrumental in Nick’s growth and development, enabling him to continuously enhance his skill set. This proactive approach has equipped him to excel in various roles, allowing him to support multiple areas of IT effectively. Additionally, Nick takes on the role of a mentor, sharing his knowledge and experience with newer teammates and fostering a collaborative learning environment. His commitment to growth not only benefits him but also strengthens the entire team.

Nick is married to his wife Kim, with four kids and spends most of his free time with his family as they are the most important part of his life. In his limited free he also enjoys playing video games and reading.​
